North AmericaSki Resorts in the USA & Canada.As winter arrives, just like migrating geese, skiers and boarders from all over the world flock to North America - and the U.S. and Canada in particular. The reason why ceased to be a secret a long time ago… They are there for some of the best skiing and boarding to be found anywhere on Earth! Covering a huge area, from the Arctic Circle to Mexico, and situated in the Northern and Western Hemispheres, North America is a fascinating and diverse continent offering eye-opening experiences and eye-watering beauty. It is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, Caribbean Sea to the south, N. Atlantic Ocean to the east, and N. Pacific Ocean to the west. The main ski areas in North America include Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and California in the West, and Maine and New England in the East. Further north, Canada offers fantastic skiing in many provinces, but the most popular for visitors and foreign tour operators tend to include the Vancouver area, and Whistler/Blackcomb in British Columbia, as well as Banff and Lake Louise in neighbouring Alberta.
